Spiral Stair Covent Garden

Our spiral staircase London project was supplied to the refurbishment of a multi-storey Covent Garden town house.

Brief

The client was a property developer carrying out the refurbishment of a multi-storey town house in Covent Garden, central London. The project involved internal alterations to form new rooms in what was quite an old property with a lot of different areas and rooms. Once finished, the contractor wanted a set of staircases that would fit the different spaces but would also be consistent with one another in their style. They already had an idea of the type of aesthetic they wanted to achieve; something minimally modern, yet in keeping with the age of the property. Also, the staircases had to be robust, compliant with building regulations, and safe for the future homeowner to use.

The Solution

In response to the design brief, we proposed our Custom Made Spiral Staircase model. The overall aesthetic matched well with the clients brief, and the flexibility of the system meant that we could create the different shapes of staircases required, whilst keeping them each in style with one another. For durability we powder the staircases in black, and for comfort we supplied timber treads that were stained to match the colour of the staircases for a seamless look.

Project Recap

• Create a range of spiral based staircases that were minimally modern in style, but in keeping with the age of the property they were going into.
• Ensure that the range had a consistent style.
• Create a range of staircases of different shapes and sizes that could be used to access different spaces and rooms within a single dwelling.
• Make sure that all staircases were safe, building regulations compliant, and delivered withing budget.

Summary

The client was very pleased with the overall look and feel of the staircases and felt that we did a good job of meeting the brief.
