May 2022 – Our staircase showroom update

We haven’t travelled far for this months entry  – indeed we haven’t even left the building.  We have been updating and renovating our showroom here down in Romsey.

Having signed a new 10 year lease to the property we thought we could freshen things up.

• We finished the wall alongside the stair with a modern brick /block style wallpaper which adds a great contrast to the staircase.
• The old blue carpet was ripped up and replaced a new dark grey timber style flooring to match the wallpaper
• The original model 500 was updated with treads sanded and lacquered, the stringers repainted matt black and an oak handrail added
• The old white spiral staircase was stripped back and rejuvenated with a subtle white stair to the beech treads and the external stringer and handrail was treated to a meadow green paint finish.  Something a little different and why not!!
• A new full flight model 71 spiral was installed, 1500mm diameter, oak treads and handrail with curved glass panels
• A new full height custom made steel spiral was installed with chequer plate treads and painted black
• A display height model 71 was added in a 1800mm diameter, vertical stainless spindles and an oak barreled centre column.
• Finally we painted an entire wall (14 x 10m) of the showroom Slate grey – something I’m still having nightmares about!

We are more than happy with the new look and think it offers a better idea of the range we offer and the models and finishes our clients like most.
