Two Model 71 spiral staircases were provided to a developer converting barns into high-spec dwellings.
Both were needed to reach a small room in the eaves, which could serve as a bedroom or study.
The staircases featured oak treads and handrails, complemented by brushed stainless steel columns and spindles.
The downstairs exit on each was carefully planned to follow a curved wall, ensuring the first tread didn’t extend too far forward.

- 2 x modern space saving spiral stairs for a barn conversion
- Natural timber to tie in with the wooden beams on show
- A clean and modern look to match the new interior
The Solution
We supplied our model 71 spiral staircase which –
- Enabled up to get the first tread in the right position
- Was made with solid oak treads and handrail to match beams
- Brushed stainless spindles and column maintained the modern appearance
