This bespoke WF floating timber staircase was supplied for a renovation project in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, where a new double-height hallway was created to transform the entrance space.
The Brief
The project required a staircase that would:
Run along and fill the side wall
Remain visually light to preserve openness
Use oak parquet treads to complement the interior flooring
Include a statement platform-style bottom step
The Solution
Our bespoke solution included:
Cantilevered oak parquet treads, delivering a floating appearance
Open risers, maximising light within the tall entrance space
A large bottom platform step, which not only filled the space well but created a nice feature
Landing balustrade upstairs across the void above the hallway
