Spiral Staircase Cheshire

Our spiral staircase Cheshire project was supplied to a contractor carrying out the conversion of a country house into apartments.

The Brief

The client had was converting a country house into several apartments and wanted a modern wow factor staircase for their show apartment. As this was going to be used to sell the other properties, we had to get it right. The space didn’t allow for a conventional stair, and the client wanted something that would maximise the available space. To amplify the modern styling of the apartment, they also wanted to incorporate lighting into the staircase.

The Solution

A more standard spiral staircase was not going to be enough to create the type of feature that the client wanted so we proposed our ultra-modern glass Model 76 spiral staircase system. To meet the client brief on lighting, we integrated LED lights into the brushed stainless steel handrail.

The system provided the necessary wow factor to woo prospective clients whilst also providing a safe, strong, and durable access to the first floor of the apartment.

The integration of the LED lighting into handrail worked particularly well. In the early evening, it provided a warm glow to highlight the design details of the staircase, creating an inviting route up to the floor above.

Summary

The final staircase filled the clients brief exactly. The good news is that all of the other properties in the development sold ahead of expected time, and we like to think that the staircase had a positive part to play in this.
