Spiral Staircase Lancashire
Case Study – Model 71
Our client was in the process of constructing new home on the coast of Lancashire. He worked from home and a new spiral staircase was required to provide asses to the sitting room / study area which boasted some stunning views.
A light timber was required so our client selected Ash for the treads and handrail. This was complimented with brushed stainless steel spindles and centre column. Upstairs a circular 1600mm diameter opening was formed for the spiral and we supplied matching balustrade – partially curved – to protect the void.
As the spiral was providing access to one room, it was deemed a secondary spiral so a 1500mm diameter was chosen to save space.
New Spiral Staircase
To ensure the gap between the treads did not exceed the 100mmm slimline 10mm diameter brushed stainless riser bars were included.
The model 71 spiral staircase is a custom made flight which is constructed individually for each project. No two supplied are the same. Each model is made to the floor to floor height with materials selected by the client.
There are a vast number of timbers available and a choice of balustrade infill components.
