Bespoke Timber Staircase Tadley

Our client was refurbishing his property in Tadley, near Fleet, Hampshire. The hallway was being completely gutted with walls being knocked down and the entire space opened up. It begged for a stylish ‘wow’ factor staircase and our customer contacted us for help. As our customer did not want to go too modern, but open and light were words mentioned during our initial discussion, we suggested the WF solid timber staircase. This was supplied as a half-turn with beech treads and wall stringer and we added a stunning swooping curved handrail at the internal turn. Stainless steel spindles spanned between the treads and handrail and we added a glass infill panel on the balustrade above the stairwell.

WF Style Floating Timber Staircase

The WF staircase is our most open, floating bespoke timber staircase. It has no stringer to the internal side so the treads appear to hover in mid air allowing the light to pass through. This works with a specially designed handrail that has a steel core. The spindles screw up into this handrail and the treads ‘load’ is therefore transferred to the handrail then to the newels top and bottom. The WF is available as a straight flight, quarter turn or half turn depending on the location of walls.
