Bespoke Timber Staircase New Forest
Our client was building a new property in the village of Burley in the heart of the New Forest national park. A double flight modern timber staircase was required to access the basement and the bedrooms above, both in half turn configurations. The stringers were supplied painted white to give a real contrast to the solid Oak treads and risers. The handrail and the stringer were curved on the internal side giving the staircase a real swooping feel. We also supplied around 6m of matching landing balustrade around the stairwell and across a void above the front doorway. A great example of a ‘traditional style’ staircase with modern features.
Double Flight Staircase
The word ‘Standard’ refers to the conventional double stringer support structure but these timber stairs are by no means ‘standard’ in appearance. Constructed with 2 x 42mm solid timber stringers, these models can be supplied in a traditional style as well as contemporary. They are manufactured as straight flights, quarter turns and half turns and can incorporate Volute handrail designs and glass panels (for example). Please have a look at the full range of balustrade options to personalize your staircase.
