Bespoke Timber Staircase Coventry
A solid timber staircase was required for a refurbishment in Coventry. Our customer wanted to replace her bulky carpeted staircase with an open riser flight which maximised the passage light from the windows to the front of the property. We supplied our WF solid timber staircase which as well as having open risers, also has no stringer on the open side allowing even more light to flood through. The timber stair was supplied in Ash to match the flooring being used upstairs and we supplied a further 6m of matching landing balustrade to protect the stunning walkway above.

The WF staircase is our most open, floating bespoke timber staircase. It has no stringer to the internal side so the treads appear to hover in mid air allowing the light to pass through. This works with a specially designed handrail that has a steel core. The spindles screw up into this handrail and the treads ‘load’ is therefore transferred to the handrail then to the newels top and bottom. The WF is available as a straight flight, quarter turn or half turn depending on the location of walls.
