March 2023 – Custom Staircase – Milford on Sea

Milford on Sea is a traditional village located south of Lymington in the New Forest.  It is know for stunning coastal views toward Christchurch habour and the Isle of Wight and is very popular both cliff walkers and water sport enthusiasts.

Our customer was building a new property a couple of streets back from the beech.  The staircase required was located in a huge front-to-back hallway and was nestled in the corner infront of the large full height window.   An open riser stair was essential to allow light into the hallway and glass panels for the balustrade were a must.

Our client and her family visited our showroom in Romsey and we anaylised the options and finishes.  Our model 500 staircase was settled on with white steel stringers and white tinted timber treads.  Frameless glass panels were bolted to the stringer and were topped with a white tinted timber handrail.

The staircase was a half turn flight with a large rectangular platform mid way.  Such is the strength of steel, no leg or vertical supports were required for this platform with the framework resin anchored into the structure of the building.

A large walkway ran across the hallway above and we provided more frameless glass to both sides to keep things open and light.

Our client sent these pictures to us shortly after moving in.
