Bespoke Staircase Godalming

Our customer was converting a barn into luxury holiday accommodation and required a modern and open staircase.

This particular project was a little complicated as we had to provide access to a door 400mm up but we solved this by introducing a square platform at the turn. Then we had a doorway underneath the upper part of the staircase so had to compress the stair slightly and have a larger platform at the top of the flight level with the upper floor.

The glass landing balustrade had to be templated on site to ensure it lined up with the existing oak beams.  We pre-drilled some holes in the wall stringer for the electrician to install the lights you see in the pictures above.
