Bespoke Timber Staircase Northwich

A domestic refurbishment was underway in Northwich, Cheshire and, following a trip to our showroom in Romsey, our client placed an order for a half turn solid maple staircase with open risers.  It was to replace an existing fairly drab carpeted stair which was deemed to bulking for the entrance hall.  We kept the half platform but opted for open riser instead of closed and glass panels instead of spindles to really open up the space.  Our customer was thrilled and forwarded these pictures of his timber staircase soon after installation.

Staircase with half landing

The word ‘Standard’ refers to the conventional double stringer support structure but these timber stairs are by no means ‘standard’ in appearance. Constructed with 2 x 42mm solid timber stringers, these models can be supplied in a traditional style as well as contemporary. They are manufactured as straight flights, quarter turns and half turns and can incorporate Volute handrail designs and glass panels (for example).  Please have a look at the full range of balustrade options to personalize your staircase.
